1. Extreme softness and comfort
This shoes is renowned among world runners for its soft ride. This new model is, of course, no exemption. Your feet will slip in well and the shoe itself is as soft as a pillow. This is the first criteria when looking for the best long distance running shoes.
2. Great fit
These shoes currently uses the Biomorphic Fit Upper to produce a comfortable fit from the middle of the foot. The laces produce a custom-feel fit as it simply adjusts to the contours of your feet. The toe box is equally good – not too tight but not too roomy, too.
3. Firm heel support
Its style does not cover or cowl the entire heel, rather it simply clips it on the top and the sides. This reduces the pain caused by repetitive contact or rubbing with the heels on the shoes. This is another important factor you should consider when searching for the best long distance running shoes.
4. Springy run
The ComforDry Sockliner system is known for its softness, but nonetheless sturdy material. The softness equates to a bouncy run giving you a feeling of having springs attached to your shoes.
It’s a fully-cushioned shoe, but it weighs just about 2 pounds. That is a long shot away from the usual 2 ounds shoes.

The only possible disadvantage of this shoes is its high heel-to-toe drop. Minimalist runners will find the 11 millimeter drop too high, much similar to wearing high heels. But again, I’m no pro, so it doesn’t really matter with me when picking up my best long distance running shoes. It took me a long while though to finally purchase these shoes. I have considered the ASICS Men’s GEL-Nimbus 16 models, mainly because the price is lower. Then, I almost didn’t care what the cost is when I began considering the Air Max+. So, I look into some of the reviews about each of these models, and was satisfied with ASICS Men’s GEL-Nimbus 16. You got to try them to understand why I consider them the best long distance running shoes.
